Our sensors detect only a narrow band; furthermore, we are biased, our brains misinterpret signals, we are incapable of rational thought, our consciousness is severely limited, and our laziness leads to conformity. Human imagination draws from a shallow, meager library combining what is already there rather than creating anything truly new. Where consciousness falters, faith grows strong; we believe that what we cannot perceive does not exist. We are earthbound because our consciousness holds us in shackles, because we are hypocrites, because our brains thrive on cognitive biases, and because our knowledge is modest while our conclusions are flawed.
